Each piece begins life as scrap, an off cut, an old spanner, a length of angle iron nobody had a use for anymore. Whatever the subject, animal, flower, bike, car, person, it's cut, shaped and welded by hand, built up gradually until it takes on a character of its own. The result is a sculpture with genuine history in it, and a bit more life than it had before.

Sticky Metal Art is a one-person workshop based in Reading, working entirely in reclaimed steel
old tools, dropped bolts, cut-offs from other jobs, the occasional
donated scrap pile. Nothing here started life as art; it just ended up that way.
Pieces range from small welded animals for a shelf or garden, right up to full-size figures for a front garden or business entrance. If you can describe it, there's a good chance it can be built.
